
Delegate Chao Wu was born in Yingshan, Hubei, China. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China (2001), a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National University of Singapore (2003), and a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park (2009). His career includes experience as a Senior Electrical Engineer at Maryland Aerospace Inc., an Aviation Software Engineer at Garmin International, a Founder of ATOP Intelligence, a Senior Research and Development Engineer at Hillcrest Labs, and a Senior Data Scientist at Booz Allen Hamilton. He served as a Board Member of the Howard County Public Schools from 2018 to 2022 and was Board Chair from 2020 to 2021. He was elected to the Maryland House of Delegates in November 2022 and has served since January 11, 2023.
