
Appointed to Nebraska Legislature: Feb. 6, 2017, to replace Bill Kintner, who resigned; elected 2018; re-elected 2022. He is a graduate of Elmwood Public School (valedictorian), 1969; and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (B.S. in math, with honors), 1973. His professional background includes experience as a banker, insurance agent, tax preparer, and formerly as an actuary. He is currently a member of the Bess Streeter Aldrich Foundation, board member of Victory Church, and serves as an adjutant and bugler for the Sons of the American Legion. Former memberships include the government relations board for the Nebraska Bankers Association, trustee for the Nebraska Bankers Association Voluntary Employee Beneficiary Association, and treasurer for the Sigma Nu Fraternity Building Association.
