Barbara Pariente was an associate justice of the Florida Supreme Court. Gov. Lawton Chiles appointed Pariente to the court in 1997. Pariente was retained in 2006 and 2012. Pariente retired January 7, 2019. Pariente served as chief justice of the court from 2004 until 2006. She is married to the Honorable Fred Hazouri, judge of the Fourth District Court of Appeal.
