Ann Rest is a member of the Minnesota State Senate, representing District 43. She assumed office on January 3, 2023. Her current term ends on January 5, 2027. Rest served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1985 to 2001. On September 16, 2025, Rest announced she would not seek re-election to the Minnesota State Senate District 43 in 2026.
