Roger Marshall was born in El Dorado, Kansas, in 1960. Marshall served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1984 to 1991. He earned an A.S. from Butler Community College in 1980, a B.S. in biochemistry from Kansas State University, and an M.D. from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 1987.
