
Majeed earned his A.A. in Restaurant Management from the University of Florida in 1979, his B.S. in business administration from North Carolina A&T State University in 1968, and his M.S. in Agricultural Education (specializing in animal science) at North Carolina A&T State University in 1979. His professional experience includes working as a pilot for Piedmont Airlines (now US Airways), as the owner of a Burger King franchise, for the North Carolina Department of Corrections as a Clinical Chaplain for fourteen years, as a managing partner of Metro-Meck Land Development Company and a custom jewelry maker. Majeed served in the U.S. Air Force for five years as a Captain and Aircraft Commander of a B-52 Bomber. Majeed served on the Charlotte City Council for eight years.
