She has served as president of the Milwaukee Educational Assistant Association, executive board member of the Milwaukee Teachers Education Association, member of the National Education Association (NEA) board of directors, ordained missionary of COGIC, member of the Wisconsin County Association Board, member of the Wisconsin Association of School Boards, member of Dream Team United MKE, and member of the Council on Domestic Abuse.
