Troy Stubbs was born in Charleston, South Carolina. Stubbs earned a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Alabama, a master's degree in sports administration from the University of Louisville, and a master's degree in secondary mathematics from Alabama State University. His career experience includes co-owning Frios Gourmet Pops and working as a financial advisor with First Community Bank of Central Alabama. Stubbs has served on the board of directors of Main Street Wetumpka and the Alabama County Commission Association.
