Susan DuBose was born in Biloxi, Mississippi. DuBose earned a B.S. in finance from the University of South Alabama in 1985 and an M.B.A. from Spring Hill College. Her career experience includes working as a commercial lending officer with Compass Bank. DuBose served as the president of Republican Women of North Shelby County, the chairwoman of Distinguished Young Women of Shelby County, and the president and Heart Ball chairwoman of the American Heart Association.
