
Growing up in Tigard, Oregon, Courtney Neron Misslin was inspired by her parents and her teachers, who modeled compassion and encouraged her to stand up for what is right. She attended Tigard schools, graduated from the University of Oregon with a French degree, and graduated from Pacific University with a Masters in Teaching. After student teaching in Yamhill-Carlton and Tigard-Tualatin School Districts, she taught French and Spanish at Tualatin High School, Reading and Special Education in Milton-Freewater, and ultimately returned to Tigard High School to teach world languages. She is an educator and working mother.
