Tim Carpenter is a member of the Wisconsin State Senate, representing District 3. He assumed office in 2003. His current term ends on January 4, 2027. Carpenter is running for re-election to the Wisconsin State Senate to represent District 3. He declared candidacy for the Democratic primary scheduled on August 11, 2026. Elected at the age of 24, Carpenter served in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 1985 until 2003. He served as the Assembly Speaker Pro Tempore in 1993.
